While exploring the small towns near the Vermont border in Massachusetts, I drove to Florida, the highest and coldest in the state, just up the mountain from North Adams. I came to see Stan Brown and his wife. Stan had been many things in his life including being the owner of Brown's garage. Here he is in his mechanic's hat. I found also that he had a large collection of hats and his wife, Maralyn,  tried on one with pheasant feathers. They were a charming and entertaining couple.
