Here is a bit of history about my books. eleven books are listed, which is correct except in reality there are only ten. Discovering Long Island City and Where is Purvis Street are the same book under different titles. After I had printed Discovering…. I thought the title too mundane. While researching for material for the book, I had to find Purvis Street, a tiny little street by some street construction. I couldn’t find it and people were directing me wrong. At last I was standing on the corner of Purvis. A policeman was directing traffic around the construction on the corner. He was standing almost directly under the Purvis Street sign. I couldn’t resist. I asked him, “Where is Purvis Street.” Hence the new title.
This one for New York City. It is the beautiful fountain in the park in front of City Hall.
